I live in a rural community where not even hunting dogs are allowed to roam loose because they will go after wild game and kill it. I hope Merry's been checked out at the vet's and is okay now! Hooray for the heroic tree service folks! The service who rescued my neighbor's cat was wonderful. I hope after Merry "nests" in a far safer way for a while, his body & spirit recuperate fully. Please know that when cats go without food for so long, they can be fine, but they may also develop hepatic lipidosis, which is dangerous...as their bodies use fat to compensate for food, their livers can't process it all (not designed to do that), and can become quite compromised.
